SHAH ALAM, 5 May: The PKR Central Election Committee (JPP) 2014 so far has not received a formal objection against the Central Leadership Council (MPP), Wanita and Keadilan Youth (AMK) on the results of the first week election.
The JPP Objection Panel Chief, Abd Malek Hussin, said that party members who want to submit an objection or complaint regarding the election can use the objection form (Form 4) for JPP to take action if true.
He said that the JPP has taken action on 12 branches under Section 9.3 of the Party Election Rules and an officer has been suspended as of now.
“For the first week, seven areas will hold a re-election due to a number of problems.
“The seven areas involve Terengganu; the areas of Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Dungun and Kemaman. While Malacca involves Bukit Katil and for Pahang, it involved the area of Paya Besar and Jerantut,” he said through Twitter.
For the second week, the re-election will be held in Tawaw for the position of Vice President and the AMK branch re-election will be held in Sungai Petani and Papar.
In addition, for the MPP and branch election, there will be a re-election in Tenom, Keningau and Nibong Tebal.
“The JPP has acted on 12 branches, while there has to be a re-election in seven areas for the MPP level. However, five others are for branch office only,” he said.
Previously, the PKR election in Batang Sadong, Sarawak, was cancelled following elements of fraud in the polling process.

The first week of polling ended on April 27, involving election in six states; Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Sarawak, Johor and Malacca.
The polling process was continued on May 2 in Perlis, Kedah and Sabah, followed by Penang, Perak and Sabah (May 4), Negeri Sembilan and the Federal Territory (May 10) and Selangor (May 11).
