CYBERJAYA, 19 May: The Sepang Municipal Council (MPSp) will implement the ‘1Premises 1Home 1Rubbish Bin Operation’ in the Bersih Hijau Sejahtera (BHS) area in the Dengkil Zone, Taman Putra Perdana, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi and Salak.
The MPSp Public Relations Officer, Zelda Mohd Zamri, in a press statement, said that the implementation of this operation will also involve the Clean Zones under the Sepang municipality; Taman Seroja and Pekan Salak.
He said that the news has been spread to traders and residents through banners and the distribution of notices informing premises and home owners.
“The purpose of having this operation is to educate the residents and the community to take care of cleanliness and to provide rubbish bins at their homes and premises,” he told reporters.
He said that the enforcement action for this campaign is to provide rubbish bins at every business premises, as stipulated in the by-law of Trend, Business and Industrial Licensing (Sepang Municipal Council) 2007 – by-law 18.And the by-law for Waste Collection, Disposal and Evacuation (Sepang Municipal COuncil) 2007 – by-law 6.
The date for enforcement for business premises are May 20 – 31, 2014, and June 1-30 for residential premises.
