BN should not try to manipulate Malay Rulers in campaign

SHAH ALAM, 30 May: DAP urged BN to stop lying by claiming DAP does not respect the death of the late Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, by continuing talks at Jalan Mahkota, Teluk Intan, yesterday.

Citing a report from Malaysia Kini, DAP Secretary-General, Lim Guan Eng, said that the Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, should stop linking Malay rulers in their campaign because BN also held talks at Dataran Menara Condong yesterday.

“It is irresponsible and immoral to attempt to play with racial fire.

“BN also held talks. Are they not also desperate? If BN did not hold talks, it does not matter, but they too tried to hold talks.

“Why is it Barisan Nasional (BN) can campaign at night but Pakatan Rakyat cannot?” he said in a press conference today.

Prior to this, Muhyiddin said that DAP might be desperate for still holding talks across Perak, which is mourning the death of the late Sultan Azlan Shah.
