Immediately form Bipartisan Parliamentary Standing Committee, review Esscom

PETALING JAYA, 14 July: The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) Secretary-General’s Council urged Putrajaya to form a Bipartisan Parliamentary Standing Committee to review the effectiveness of Esscom and Esszone in Sabah.

The PAS Secretary-General, Datuk Mustafa Ali, said that the trespassing of Sabah waters have increased and must be addressed urgently.

Yesterday, the media reported a marine police officer being killed, while another is believed to be missing due to being kidnapped by a group of terrorists that ambushed a resort in Pulau Mabul.

In the incident which happened at 11.10 pm, it was said that a group of eight masked men who were dressed in black climbed abord the jetty at the resort before firing randomly.

With respect to the matter, PR extends their condolences to the family of Corporal Abd Rajah Jamuan who was killed during the ambush and prays for the safety of Constable Zakia Aleip, who is believed to have been kidnapped.
