“I have no plans to appoint a new Exco line-up and I have discussed with HRH the Sultan where he advised me to continue in the present circumstances to determine the strength of state work so that development is focused on and the welfare of the people is prioritised,” he said.

Abdul Khalid said that he has held talks with the Exco members to form a council together for all STANCO or portfolios involved so that the management and state procedures can be implemented properly.

Meanwhile, when commenting on the status of the State Economic Advisor which is still held by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, he said that the matter will be discussed with the Exco later.

Abdul Khalid said that the status of the existing Council members will also be discussed in the Selangor State Economic Action Council (MTES) meeting and will be announced soon.

“The status of (our) Council members will be announced tomorrow after the MTES, but for now, we will focus on state development and smooth administration.

“If smooth administration does not require us to make a change, we will not do it, but there will be a change if we feel the need to,” he added.
