4 PAS Exco remain in CM’s cabinet to prevent Selangor’s financial resources from falling into Umno’s hands

SHAH ALAM, 15 Aug: The Executive Councillor (Exco) for Islamic Affairs, Sallehen Mukhyi, defended his move to remain on the cabinet of Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to prevent Umno from controlling the state’s finances and reserves worth RM3.2 billion.

Sallehen Mukhyi said that the decision of the four PAS Exco members is the last defence to save the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government.

“The public should not see it as betrayal because according to the State Constitution, only four Exco members are required to allow the state government to function,” said Sallehen, taken from Malaysian Insider.

The four Exco members are Iskandar Abdul Samad, Dr Halimah Ali, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi and Sallehen.

Meanwhile, the PAS Exco, Dr Halimah Ali, said that not all were mature in making decisions on the issue of the Chief Minister because the matter requires research and no hasty decisions.

“Small things may not have a major impact, but matters involving the masses require research, authentic sources and should be seen from more angles.

“Terlajak perahu boleh diundur terlajak buat berzaman padahnya (better the foot slips than the tongue),” said Dr Halimah, taken from her Facebook.
