SHAH ALAM, 2 Sept: The first working day after the long weekend did not stop the public from visiting the Selangor Book Fair 2014.
Housed at the Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC), the public can not only get a wide variety of reading materials, but they also can get other services under one roof.
They can receive the services of the talented cartoonist, Azhar Saad, to draw caricatures at special prices.
“The public could also obtain copies of the book published by the Independent Cartoonist Group (KKI) titled ‘Showcase’ for RM10 at our booth.
“The expenses and the sale of this group was incurred by the members of KKI and limited to 3,000 copies only,” said Azhar, better known as Art Saad.
“‘Showcase’, which was newly launched on August 3, also features other cartoonists such as Zunar, Azmi Tahar, Megat, Jonos, Johnny Ong and many more.
The Selangor Book Fair 2014 began on August 29 and will end on September 8, 2014, starts at 10 am to 9 pm on weekdays and will extend to 10.30 pm on weekends.
Among the interesting activities during this book fair includes a meeting with National Astronaut Datuk Dr Syeikh Muzaffar, knowledge events with Ustaz Haslin Bollywood & Ustaz Fausi, Prof Dr Muhaya and Ustaz Don Daniyal.
