SHAH ALAM, 1 Sept: The Central PAS Youth Chief, Suhaizan Kaiat, slammed the actions of the Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who wants to take action against the PAS Unit Amal.
According to Suhaizan, the PAS Unit Amal is only a charity body and not a security agency like others.
“Action cannot be taken because Unit Amal is not a security body.
“It is just a charity body that takes care of the welfare of PAS members and the people of Malaysia who are struck by misfortune through the humanitarian missions they carry out,” he said, quoted from Harakah Daily.
Zahid today said that he is confident that the same action will be taken against the PAS Unit Amal, similar to the 156 members of the Penang Voluntary Patrol Squad (PPS) who were arrested yesterday.
Zahid also claimed that he received reports that there were PPS members who acted in violation of the Constitution.
It includes hitting people and acting outside the constitution, and that they seemed to use police power to threaten people.
Elaborating, Zuhaizan said that the PAS Youth are ready to go to court if the government wants to take the same action on the ‘red army’.
“We are ready to fight in court,” he said.
