PR should unite to restore the people’s confidence, ensure smooth administration

KUALA SELANGOR, 7 Sept: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) must remain united in effort to restore the people’s confidence in the coalition formed between three component parties; PAS, PKR and DAP, despite the current turmoil regarding the position of the Selangor Chief Minister.

Taking Selangor as an example, the Executive Councillor in charge of Youth and Sports, Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi, is of the opinion the PR has good planning, but due to recent turmoil, it has given a bit of an impression that the coalition is weltering.

“The plans and programmes are already pretty good, but with the turmoil that it happening, it seems that PR is weltering and this is slightly affecting the people’s confidence,” he told Selangor Kini.

He also did not deny that the issues that have risen have slightly threatened the state administration, especially since Selangor is only managed with the strength of four Executive Council members.

He said that although there is no doubt that the cooperation from civil servants are rather good; however the political turmoil has slightly interfered with the smooth administration of the state.

“In the short term, we may not feel it, but in the long run, many programmes that we have planned have been slightly affected because we have to shoulder the programmes from the other Standing Committees,” he said.
