6 months since MH370 disappeared, families still hopeful

SHAH ALAM, 8 Sept: Although it has been 6 months today since the MH370 disappeared, the wife of steward Mohd Hazrin Hasnan, Intan Maizure Othman, 34, still has high hopes of awaiting the return of her husband, either alive or ‘no longer here’.

She said that the families of passengers and crew of MH370 are still waiting the return of their loved ones no matter what happened to them since the unfortunate incident on March 8.

“If they are alive, bring them home, if they are not, bring them back like the victims of MH17 because they are still human,” he said, quoted from Astro Awani.

Intan’s child, Imam, 5, reportedly had to seek the services of a counsellor as his emotions were frequently disturbed because he was missing his father badly.

Intan added that the media should also be sensitive in reporting what is really said by the relatives of MH370 victims.

“Write if you want to, but do not add to it,” she said.

MH370 disappeared on March 8, about an hour after taking off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Over 26 countries are involved in the search for the Boeing 777 aircraft by air, sea and underwater. However after six months, there has been no indication of it being found.

There have been too many conspiracy theories regarding the incident, among them being hijacking and a sabotage of the plane carrying 239 passengers.
