In his speech, Azmin expressed his appreciation for the contribution and the performance of the state government subsidiary companies which contributed the sacrificial cattle.

“We want profit, but if profit is not accompanied with social responsibility, then it is a big failure” he said.

Among the subsidiary companies that contributed are the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad (KDEB) and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB).

The General Manager of PKPS, Thamby Omar Mohamed, said that PKPS has been placed responsible to manage the presentation of sacrificial cattle since last year.

“All cattle were imported from Ireland. They were stored at the PKPS farm in Sungai Panjang and will be presented from October 2 to 4.

“Each cow weighs 260kg,” he said.
