SHAH ALAM, 27 Sept: The Selangor PAS has yet to decide who among the Assemblymen from the party will hold the position of the Selangor State Assembly Deputy Speaker.
The Selangor PAS Commissioner, Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that the decision will only be made after discussions with all relevant parties.
“We will hold a meeting to discuss this matter in the near future,” he told reporters after inaugurating the Selangorku Homes Bid and Offer Event here, today.
The seat of the State Assembly Deputy Speaker was left vacant when the incumbent, the Assemblyman for Seri Setia, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, resigned so that he could be elected as a member of the Selangor State Government Executive Council (Exco).
This was announced by the new Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, during a press conference at the State Government Secretary’s Office yesterday.
