State Government praises RMP initiatives to tackle crime

SHAH ALAM, 2 Oct: The state government will continue to support and uphold the initiatives by the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) in addressing the problem of crime in the state of Selangor.

“The new leadership and I have given a briefing on the situation in Selangor and we thank the RMP for taking the initiative to address the problems in the state of Selangor.

“We have noticed that the crime index has dropped due to the efforts by the RMP, and the state government will provide support and cooperation to the RMP to continue to ensure the safety of the people and preserve the peace for the people,” said the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, in a courtesy visit to the Selangor Contingent Police Headquarters yesterday.

With Azmin was the State Government Secretary, Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi, Exco member Zaidy Abdul Talib, Exco member Dr Daroyah Alwi and Exco member Amirudin Shari.

The state government delegation was welcomed by the Selangor Chief of Police, Datuk Abdul Samah, and the Selangor RMP leadership.
