MPSJ organises November 8 Deepavali Celebration

SUBANG JAYA, 7 Nov: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) will host the MPSJ Deepavali Celebration 2014 on November 8, 2014, (Saturday).

The event will begin at 7pm at the MPSJ Multipurpose Hall in MPSJ.

MPSJ Council Member, Keshminder Singh a/k Karam Singh, informed that the celebration is being held to celebrate the Deepavali celebration with Hindus.

It is also being held to foster closer ties between the Council and the community, as well as foster unity among the different races and religions.

“It is hoped that this celebration will take place well and attended by all races, and we can celebrate it together in the spirit of togetherness,” he said during a media conference at the MPSJ Headquarters here at USJ 5.

The celebration will be graced with a variety of exciting performances like dances and singing from students and youth from the Indian community.

The Deepavali contributions presentation will also be carried out to held households with low incomes and the poor.

Contributions in the form of essential food items will be presented to the less fortunate.

PSJ hopes that the public, especially local residents, will attend to celebrate.
