RM2.8 million for the success of Women Empowerment Centre Programmes

SHAH ALAM, 28 Nov: The Selangor State Assembly (DNS) this morning approved RM2.8 million for the success of the Women’s Empowerment Centre (PWB) Programmes for 2015.

The Exco for Women’s Affairs, Dr Daroyah Alwi, said that the Human Resources Division will appoint three new officers at the state level to ensure the smooth running of the programme.

She said these officers are an Administrative Officer (N41), an Assistant Administrative Officer (N27) and an Administrative Assistant (N17).

“In addition, we will also appoint 56 PWB coordinators nominated personally by Assemblymen via contract for service with an allowance of RM1,500 a month.

“They will also be placed at the constituency Community Service Centre (PKM) Office and may use office facilities and equipment,” she said during a media conference at the DNS lobby.

Elaborating, Daroyah said that each PWB will be allocated RM30,000 and the provision will be channelled through the application paperwork.

“The performance will be accessed through the activeness of the activities carried out, covering 12 focus areas set.

“If for three consecutive weeks there is no activity, the coordinator’s service will be terminated and replaced by a new coordinator,” she said.
