“Both BRH plants are back in operation and the level of all (8) tanks in Sabak Bernam are back to normal.

“At 12 pm, there were only two low pressure complaints in the area of Pasir Panjang and Paket 60.

“The other areas have fully recovered to 100 percent. However, the region will continue monitoring at the site,” she said through the short messaging system (SMS) to Selangor Kini.

Prior to this, Syabas informed that 30,098 consumers in Sabak Bernam experienced unscheduled water supply disruption and low water pressure due to the temporary shutdown of part of the Bernam River Headworks (BRH) WTP by its operator Puncak Niaga (M) Sdn Bhd (PNSB).

The closure was due to flooding at the water treatment plant due to the dramatic increase of water flow from the Bernam River due to heavy rain.
