100 DAYS: CM’s initiative to visit areas emulated by local authorities

The initiative by Chief Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali who diligently conducts fieldwork gives fresh motivation to the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA).

Acting Mayor, Mokhtar Hani, said that the approach opened eyes to empower fieldwork programmes to look into and monitor the people’s problems.

He said that focusing on municipal issues is often emphasised by Mohamed Azmin, including the issues of public cleaning, solid waste collection and the maintenance of public facilities.

“This is a positive approach because this way we are able to see and personally feel the issues and problems that occur.

“Through fieldwork activities, it indirectly let us meet face to face with local communities. This strengthens relationships and goodwill among Shah Alam citizens,” he said.

He acknowledged that the Chief Minister’s programme shows that the Bukit Antarabangsa Assemblyman honestly serves the people and is people-friendly.

The friendliness, he said, makes the people more comfortable to deal with him and together contribute towards improvement.

With the attitude and openness of the new administration, Mokhtar is confident that Mohamed Azmin’s leadership will move steadily as an efficient team.

“I believe that there are many more new initiatives that will be introduced and it is beneficial to the people of Selangor, especially the people of Shah Alam.

“MBSA is always to work with the Selangor government for the success of a programme that has been prepared,” he said.
