CM wants clarification from Puncak Niaga on delaying water structuring

SHAH ALAM, 16 Jan: The state government will seek clarification from Air Selangor Sdn Bhd regarding the delay by Puncak Niaga Holdings Sdn Bhd in delaying the water structuring issue in Selangor.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the state government wants more details on why the concessionaire acted in this manner when the master agreement only provides them two months for completion with the concessionaire.

He said that there is no need to allow the concessionaire to delay in finalising the agreement.

“I will seek clarification from Air Selangor on why Puncak Niaga requires a longer time and not like it was stated in the agreement. After November 12, the few things that needed to be resolved were more towards the administrative side.

“If according to the agreement, Puncak Niaga was only given two months to resolve the water structuring issue, so I do not see any need to allow Puncak Niaga to delay this matter,” he said during a media conference at SUK today.

Mohamed Azmin said that at the moment, the state government is focusing on resolving matters with SPLASH.

“SPLASH was previously given a year, according to the master plan. This means that until September 12, we will finalise the agreement with SPLASH,” he said.
