SHAH ALAM, 1 Feb: Everyone, including supporters of the Red Giants, have to unite to move as a team to ensure the mission as a champion team is achieved.
The new manager of the Selangor Football Squad, Amirudin Shari, said that this is because the long history and excellent achievement recorded prior to this is enough to prove Selangor’s capability in spearheading in the leagues.
“Thus, with the wants and needs of the times, the Selangor Football Association, with cooperation from the state government and its subsidiary companies, as well as private companies, will continue to provide support from various sources.
“We will prove that with strong support from the fans, Selangor is capable of bringing home at least one trophy for the 2015 season,” he said.
He said this when speaking at the Selangor Players Introduction Ceremony at the SACC Mall Square Main Stage.
Also present was the FAS Deputy President, Datuk Abdul Mokhtar Ahmad, and Head Coach, Mehmet Durakovic.
Elaborating, Amirudin promised that the FAS leadership will provide the best service in ensuring that Selangor’s mission is accomplished this season.
“I do not want to promise the moon and the stars and such nonsense. Instead, I promise hard work being pooled from all parties.
“We will begin the new season as a team because we are a team of champions. Give us the opportunity to bring up Selangor as a team that is capable of challenging other teams,” he said, welcomed by applause and cheers from the fans that were present.
At least 2,500 Red Giants supporters from various clubs were present at the event to show support for the team and the players of the Selangor team.
