CM: Discussing different ideas, not openly arguing

BATU CAVES, 3 Feb: Pakatan Rakyat (PR) does not need to discuss the party’s internal problems openly to avoid it from being manipulated by the media.

The PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that PR practices the concept of consensus and discussion to find solutions to a particular issue raised.

“We discuss the spirit of Pakatan Rakyat at meetings and make a decision through consensus and reconciliation, this is important.

“Because PR’s power is based on consensus, so there is no need for us to discuss it openly in the media.

“Even more so since the media is controlled by the ruling party,” he said when asked to comment on the differences of opinions between PAS and DAP.

Mohamed Azmin explained that they have not yet received any information regarding the proposed meeting that will be held before February 10 by the PKR de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Azmin, also the Chief Minister of Selangor, said that the matter was only proposed, but to this day, a date has not yet been determined by the PR Leadership Council.

“We will discuss it. It was a suggestion. I have still yet to receive a date,” he briefly explained.

Touching on the developments of the local government election, as proposed by the Penang government, Mohamed Azmin said that it will be discussed later.

He however said that he is still not sure about the status of the discussion that will be brought up, either at the party level or the level of the PR Leadership Council.
