SHAH ALAM, 3 Feb: Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam are among the 44 finalists from 15 countries across the world chosen for the Earth Hour City Challenge (EHCC) this year.
Petaling Jaya and Shah Alam deserve to be in the list of finalists, competing with cities from Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Finland, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Korea, South Africa, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Thailand.
EHCC marked its third year this year and the award will be presented at the National Earth Hour Capital Awards in Seoul, South Korea, on April 9 this year.
Vancouver, Canada, was named the National Earth Hour Capital in 2013, while Cape Town, South Africa, received the award last year.
