“We are also always monitoring to see if traders make use of the licences received or if they give it to others to trade,” he said in a press conference at the Taman Wawasan morning market.

Other requirements includes traders needing to hand their licences so that it can be seen easily, prepare trash bins and they have to always be present at the market.

Traders who refuse to do so and do not follow directions will be given a Compound Offer Notice (NTK) before their licence is cancelled after committing the offence after three times under the Traders By-law (MPSJ) 2007.

“We will directly enter the applicants that are in the reserve list to replace the traders whose licences have been cancelled without further notice,” he said.
