SHAH ALAM, 27 Feb: The Kinrara-Damansara Expressway Project (Kidex) will not be taken into account in the preparation of the Selangor State Structure Plan 2035 (RNS Selangor 2035) draft.
The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the Survey Report Publicity Feedback Results Hearing Meeting for the RSN Selangor 2035 on the Kidex project on March 10, 2015, will also be cancelled.
“The decision is in line with the state government’s stand in taking action against the developer’s failure to meet the prescribed requirements to ensure the welfare of the people,” said Mohamed Azmin in a press statement.
Mohamed Azmin said that prior to this, the status of the preparation of the RSN Selangor 2035 for the Survey Report level and publicity that began from December 8, 2014, to January 9, 2015, was extended to January 31, 2015.
One of the things included in the Survey Report, RNS Selangor 2035, was related to the proposed Kidex project that was brought up by the federal government through the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM).
He said that the 7th Selangor State Executive Council (MMKN) meeting on February 17, 2015, confirmed by the 8th Selangor State Executive Council (MMKN) meeting on February 25, 2015, decided to not take it into account and cancelled the Kidex project.
“This is in accordance with the state government’s power on land development and planning approvals,” said Mohamed Azmin.
