CM: Do not sell land, make it a beneficial asset

SUNGAI BULOH, 28 Feb: Recipients of the land titles have been advised to take care of the asset and to not sell it for short-term profit.

The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin, said that the existing land is a valuable asset and should be nurtures as best possible for the future.

“I want to stress to those who have been awarded this government land to not sell the land for the short term because this is the most important asset for us, our family and successors in the future,” he said.

He said that the premium for the land should be paid according to the current rate if the land is sold to a new buyer.

He added that the state government is ready to continue to provide people the right in land ownership, coupled with the usage of the premium payment system amounting to RM1,000.

The Land Ownership and 5A Notice Presentation Ceremony took place at Kampung Seri Indah A with a total of 137 recipients.

106 of them received land grants while the rest received the 5A Notice. They comprised of residents from Kampung Sri Indah B and Kampung Nakhoda.
