SHAH ALAM, 2 Mar: An antique car using electricity capable of carrying 11 passengers will be used as a special attraction for tourists visiting Sekinchan in conjunction with the Visit Selangor Year 2015.
Sekinchan Assemblyman, Ng Suee Lim, said that the antique car is among the main attractions provided so that many tourists from within and outside the country will visit this constituency.
“This antique car is especially for carrying tourists. It uses electricity, environmentally friendly and does not pollute the environment,” he told Selangor Kini today.
Suee Lim said that the antique car will be officiated together with the officiating of the Visit Selangor Year 2015 in Sekinchan by the Tourism Exco, Elizabeth Wong, on March 9.
In addition, he said that a decently priced hotel will also be officiated by Elizabeth on the same day.
“We will promote the many interesting things in Sekinchan such as paddy fields, Pantai Ledang, fishing villages and many more available here.
“This is among the necessities that we are providing for domestic and foreign tourists in effort to popularise Sekinchan as a new eco-tourism destination,” he said.
Suee Lim said that he, together with Tourism Selangor, will also plan treasure hunts to explore Sekinchan in May.
He said that the two-day-one-night programme is expected to gather over 200 participants from all over the country.
