CM to take opportunity to meet Minister to discuss traffic congestion in Semenyih

KAJANG, 7 Mar: The Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, will use the meeting with the Minister of Public Works to discuss the issue of traffic congestion in Semenyih.

The meeting was held because on February 16, the state government decided to cancel the Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (KIDEX) project.

“Dr Che Rosli Che Mat (Hulu Langat Member of Parliament) whispered to me, Azmin please discuss with the Minister of Public Works on the traffic congestion problems in Semenyih as it is very congested.

“I will bring this matter up with the Minister of Public Works because he recently wrote to be because the Selangor government decided to cancel the KIDEX development,” said Mohamed Azmin.

He said this when opening the Semenyih Chinese New Year Celebration in Kampung Baru last night.

Meanwhile, Dr Che Rosli, when asked by Selangor Kini, said that the traffic congestion issue under the maintenance of the federal government in Semenyih has been brought up by him frequently in Parliament.

However, he explained, even after the widening of the road was done, it still did not solve the traffic congestion problem.

“They said that it could not be done because there were not enough provisions during the last session after he said that there are already provisions to widen the bridge in Rinching, but until now, it has not yet completed. That is why we want them to complete it faster,” said Dr Che Rosli.
