MPSJ: Make the weekend leisure active by cycling on April 4

SUBANG JAYA, 25 Mar: In line with the Subang Jaya Municipal Council’s (MPSJ) desire to instill a healthy lifestyle among the community through group cycling, the MPSJ Healthy Living Cycling Event 2015 will be held on April 4.

The MPSJ Corporate Communications Officer, Azli Miswan, said that the programme is in collaboration with the Putra University of Malaysia (UPM) and will take place at the Parade Field, UPM Serdang, starting at 7.30 in the morning.

He said that it is hoped that this programme will make the participants’ weekend active with beneficial activities.

“The programme is seen as the right move because it is able to promote the use of bicycles for recreational purposes,” he said in a press statement.

This relaxed type programme is divided into two categories, ‘Family Ride’ which allows parents to bring along their children aged 7 and above and the general category (Fun Ride) which is opened to individuals aged 15 years and above.

Participation is free and MPSJ is making it a requirement for participants to wear helmets while cycling.
