Azmin: Cooperation issue between Sabah & Sarawak Pakatan to be discussed by the political bureau

SHAH ALAM, 31 Mar: The differences of opinion of the Sabah and Sarawak Pakatan Rakyat (PR) that caused cooperation with PAS to be cancelled will be discussed at the PKR political bureau.

The PKR Deputy President, Mohamed Azmin Ali, explained that the party will hear the explanation at the state level causing them to act in this manner before making any decisions.

He said that the Central PKR previously maintained its decision to defend and strengthen Pakatan Rakyat.

“We admit that there are a few problems on some issued. But previous experience in a number of major issues that Pakatan Rakyat experiences were solved with consensus.

“There is no need to argue with the media because the media also have particular agendas. If the PR leadership at all levels can sit down to discuss based on consensus I believe that major problems can be resolved,” he told the media at the Annex Building.

He explained that PR in the peninsula, especially in Selangor, remains strong and will continue to focus on state development.

Prior to this, DAP and PKR in these two states decided cut ties with PAS due to the stance of the party on insisting on bringing up the Syariah Enactment Amendment II motion to allow the implementation of Hudud in Kelantan.
