SHAH ALAM, 13 Apr: Refusing to be complacent with praise, the Selangor team is determined to maintain their winning streak by focusing on the rest of the Super League.
The Selangor team Captain, Rizal Fahmi, said that at the moment the morale of the players are at the highest due to the victory over the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM, 3-1 at the Paroi Stadium yesterday.
“Our ingredients include team spirit and close relationship like a family, coupled with victory after victory, it thus increased our spirit.
“However, we cannot be complacent because it is not easy to maintain the current position as the situation is not yet comfortable with opposing teams following closely behind,” said Rizal when contacted by Selangor Kini today.
Meanwhile, Afiq Azmi, who scored two goals during the match in Paroi, said that at the moment the players are focusing on match after match.
“We are not looking at matches that are far in front, but we are maintaining focus on match after match so that we do not lose concentration. This is important for us now.
“Especially since the top position of the league will certainly become the focus of other teams to snatch it. God-willing, we will maintain it even by working harder,” said Afiq.
