SHAH ALAM, 17 Apr: The Selangor Kini Editorial Department today received an official visit from the Kelantan Government Information Secretariat to exchange views and share experience in newspaper publishing.
The delegation of five people, led by the Kelantan Information Committee Deputy Chairman, Dr Md Yusnan Yusof, arrived at the Selangor Kini office at about 9.30 am.
They were greeted by the Communication Corporation Sdn Bhd (CCSB) Administrative and Service Manager, Adzhar Maludin, the Acting News Editor, Mohd Hafiizh Mokhtar, and Assistant Editor Mohd Ezli Mashut.
Meanwhile, Md Yusnan said that the focus of the delegation was to discuss experience of publishing the Selangor government’s official newspaper which can be utilised.
He said this included sharing information on operations, preparation and distribution of news material to be used in the Kelantan government’s information unit.
“Selangor Kini, if compared to other Pakatan Rakyat (PR) states, is seen as being more advanced in terms of dissemination of information to the people.
“Selangor Kini to distributed to all mosques in Selangor and I think that this is a lesson to be taken,” he said.
In the meantime, he also welcomed it if close cooperation is established with Selangor Kini to publicise information about the PR administration.
“It is long overdue because we, PR, should learn from each other where Selangor Kini can obtain views from the Kelantan government and vice versa,” said the Melor Assemblyman.
