Integrity Office proof of state government’s transparency

SHAH ALAM, 23 Apr: The state government’s effort to establish the Integrity Office received support from the people who want the existing administration to practice principles of openness and transparency.

Marketing Executive, Ahmad Dahlan Abdul Rashid, 32, said that the time is perfect to practice it to avoid negative perceptions from the people, especially involving embezzlement and abuse of power.

“I support the move taken by the state government to strengthen and improve public administration.

“This way, administration from the top to bottom can be monitored so that leakages and corruption does not happen,” he told Selangor Kini.

Private employee, Mohd Ridzuan Zainuddin, 30, said that Selangor is seen as taking a step forward when it set up the Integrity Office for the good of the people.

“This effort brings many benefits to the people because all problems faced will receive attention from the state government.

“Officers are responsible for carrying out tasks with trust and integrity. It should be supported by all parties,” he said.

Meanwhile, K.Paramasiwam, 35, feels that public service will return to being highly regarded when the approach is practiced.

“When this move is implemented, I believe that the public’s view will change and the quality of administration will improve. The effort made by the state government is timely for our development,” he said.

Prior to this, the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the process of the establishment of the Integrity Office is in line with the state government’s policy to uphold the principles of an administration that is clean and with integrity.
