As the terms of the rally had been agreed upon, participants came dressed in red and carrying #kita lawan posters and singing the official oppose GST song.

The PKR Vice President, Rafizi Ramli, in his speech said that the GST tax collection by the BN government is the same as the British government in the past.

He said that in the past, the British pressured the people in India and Malaya by imposing taxes on basic necessities.

The rally, which was supported by Bersih 2.0, the Malaysian Islamic Students Movement (Gamis), Malaysian Youth Solidarity (SAMM), Social Party of Malaysia, several NGOs, political parties and labour unions, ended at 5.30 pm.
