Huan Eng: Ismail Sabri rude in not allowing Kak Wan step into the MOA lobby

BUKIT MERTAJAM, 3 May: The arrogant statement by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industries, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who did not allow Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to step into his office if she wins in the Permatang Pauh by-election is rude and disrespectful.

The Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng, said that the statement insults the people’s, women’s, and elected representatives’ freedom all at once.

“Ismail Sabri stated that if Kak Wan is elected as a Member of Parliament, do not look for him.

“All agricultural projects will not be approved and she can’t even step into the lobby.

“This is a very rude and disrespectful statement,” said Guan Eng during a press conference here at Wat Siam Kampung Tanah Liat today.

He said that Ismail Sabri should retract his statement and apologise.

Guan Eng also described Ismail Sabri’s actions as wild and excessive.

“How can an elected representative be treated in such a way,” he added.
