CM: Selangorku Homes expected to surpass target of 15,000 units

RAWANG, 15 May: The number of affordable housing units through the Selangorku Homes programme that is expected to be handed over to buyers in 2018, is expected to exceed the target.

The Chief Minister of Selangor, Mohamed Azmin Ali, said that the initial target for Selangorku Homes for the period is only 15,000 units.

He said that this is following the smart partnership between the state government and private developers which has encouraged such projects to be launched in recent months.

“In the next two or three years, we will not only launch but provide a construction guarantee of at least 15,000 units of affordable housing.

“In this two months, we have launched such programmes almost every week. Now, a total of 8,000 housing units have been launched.

“Not just 15,000, but I believe that we will exceed the target. Within a maximum of three years, we will hand over 20,000 affordable housing units to the people,” he said.

He said this during the M Residence 2 Selangorku Homes Ground-breaking Ceremony and Registration today.
