KUALA LANGAT, 17 May: Youths, especially single people aged as young as 25, are encouraged to apply for the Selangorku Affordable Housing.
The Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that this is because conditions have been eased for this group of people.
“Previously, the application required applicants to be 40 years of age, but we agreed to allow people as young as 25.
“We understand the needs; youths who are married and unmarried face the same problems.
“So, the government is concerned about such matters, so we are welcoming them to apply,” he said.
Meanwhile, Iskandar informed that the number of applicants who have applied for the affordable housing has reached 40,000 people.
This makes brings the total demand to exceed the supply.
Previously, Selangor estimated 15,251 affordable housing units involving 38 projects to be offered to buyers by 2021.
It involves nine affordable housing projects across Selangor.
