Wan Azizah: The government can table anything, but what about its execution?

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will review and examine the tabling of the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11) which was presented by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

The Opposition Leader, Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, expressed her concern about the existence of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) company which is seen as not benefiting the people.

“I am concerned about the current approach which is seen as having failed. One such example is 1MDB.

“In the RMK-10, it stated that 1MDB would benefit the people. But what we see is money from the Tabung Haji Board being used by the government,” she told reporters in Parliament today.

Commenting on the RMK-11, Wan Azizah, who is also the Permatang Pauh Member of Parliament, said that the government can outline or present a variety of strategies but what is important is its implementation.

“The government can talk and table anything, but what is important is that the principles of planning must be transparent. Do not flip flop, be free of corruption and do not only read audit reports,” she said.
