SHAH ALAM, 4 June: The Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) is providing emergency assistance of RM500 to two families who have lost their source of income in Cheras and Hulu Selangor.
Rahaiza Jumahari’s family that lives in Hulu Selangor lost their source of income when her family become bedridden due to an accident last April.
According to LZS, they also distributed other assistance, especially involving basic needs and medical expended on a monthly basis.
The same assistance was also extended to Norzulaini Mat Ali’s family as a result of information that came out in Harian Metro.
LZS officials visited the family to conduct an investigation and gather information on June 2.
LZS informed that in addition to the RM500 emergency assistance, the family received financial aid and food on a monthly basis.
In addition, the rent payments will also be extended starting June while the rent arrears and utility bills will also be provided assistance.
