SHAH ALAM, 15 June: The Zakat payment through eZakat Online (eZO) is to facilitate Zakat payers in checking accounts as users and to check the Zakat payment information.
The LZS Missionary and Marketing Sector Head, Mohamed Syahril Zainol, said that the new medium implemented by the Selangor Zakat Board (LZS) is among the latest facilities provided to perform the Fitrah or Property Zakat online.
“Zakat payers only have to go to the LZS website to register and obtain all information related to Zakat payment.
“Among the Zakat payment services provided is ezakatpay, e-spg (Salary Deduction Scheme) and internet banking,” he told Selangor Kini.
He said that LZS is also vigorously promoting eZO by organising the “eZO Registration Campaign” to encourage more Zakat payers to register starting June 18 to November 18, 2015.
He said that the campaign also offers a variety of attractive gifts to Zakat payers who have registered online, including an Umrah package worth RM6,000.
“The opportunity for participants to win is higher if they pay the Zakat, either Fitrah or Property Zakat, through the campaign period via the online method.
“We encourage Zakat payers to immediately register to grab the gifts,” he said.
