PKNS, three other companies pay RM12.47 million in business Zakat

SHAH ALAM, 20 June: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and its subsidiaries payed the business Zakat in conjunction with the Ramadan of RM5,145,535.16 to the Selangor Zakat Board.

The payment was made by the PKNS General Manager, Azlan Alifiah, while witnessed by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Apart from PKNS, Plus Malaysia Berhad, which was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Noorizah Abd Hamid, also payed Zakat amounting to RM3,133,031 to LZS.

UMW Holdings Berhad was represented by its Chairman, Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, and Permodalan Negeri Selangor (PNSB) was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Datuk Ahmad Omar, and they each paid RM2,952,335 and RM1,241,506.88.

LZS at the same event also contributed RM1,77 million to the Hospital Medical Welfare Fund.

A total of 17 hospitals in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur benefits from this contribution.

This contribution was received by the Malaysian Ministry of Health’s Director of Medical Development, Datuk Dr Azman Abu Bakar.

Meanwhile, Sultan Sharafuddin broke fast with the people at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, accompanied by the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, and Selangor government Exco members.
