SHAH ALAM, 25 Aug: The Shah Alam Umno should confirm the recipient of the RM2.6 billion ‘donation’ to restore the party’s image and to not pressure anyone to leave from the Shah Alam area.
This cynical statement was issued by Khalid Abdul Samad as the MP, reminding them that Shah Alam does not belong to Umno.
“Thanks to the Shah Alam Umno for focusing on me.
“Shah Alam does not belong to Umno; they do not have the right to confirm or remove anyone from Shah Alam,” he said during a press conference at his office today.
The Shah Alam Umno Division Chif, Datuk Azhari Shaari, in a statement yesterday, claimed that Khalid is a tool of DAP in seeming to be responsible to split the Malay voters in the area.
In a similar development, Khalid claimed that Umno is the source of the division in PAS and not DAP.
He explained that the divide in PAS does not benefit DAP, instead it does Umno.
Khalid added that there is nothing wrong with associating or cooperating with anyone, including DAP, to fight against corruption and embezzlement for the better.
