“I am pleased to welcome the National trust Party as a new opposition party,” said Dr Wan Azizah in a press statement issued by the PKR President’s Office.

Dr Wan Azizah stressed the need for a strong and united opposition to challenge Barisan Nasional in current issues and in the next general election.

“The confidence crisis that has hit Malaysia today demands for an alternative to the BN government. I am sure that the new opposition alliance will be stronger and will be in a better position to fight corruption and mismanagement of Najib’s administration.

“We have made much progress towards the establishment of the new opposition coalition and I will meet with the leaders of PAS and DAP in a week to discuss the same matter,” she said.
