SHAH ALAM, 9 Sept: Sabak Bernam dominated the Selangor Sports (Sukses) 2015 taekwondo event yesterday when they won three gold medals out of the eight events contested.
The district received them through Timmotthy Isaac Martin who took part in the lightweight category, Ventha Lognathan (welterweight) and Siew Qai Xin (middleweight).
This was followed with Petaling with two gold medals while Kuala Selangor, Kuala Langat and Klang each won a gold medal.
In the tenpin bowling event, Petaling was disappointed when they only managed to grab two silver and two bronze medals in the men’s and women’s singles.
Both gold medals were won by M Hazim (Gombak) for the men’s singles and Nur Syazana (Hulu Selangor) for the women’s singles.
However, Sepang continued to lead in the medal table with 13 golds, seven silver and six bronze, followed by Kuala Selangor (9 gold, 8 silver, 15 bronze) and Klang (8 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze).
Sukses today continued with sepak takraw at Dewan Cempaka, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ), tenpin bowling at Ampang Superbowl, Summit USJ and football at the Kuala Selangor Stadium, Persada Plus and the MBPJ Stadium.
