Wan Azizah: Selangor government remains stable

SUBANG JAYA, 22 Sept: The Selangor government remains stable and is functioning as normal because the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, still has the majority support from the People’s Legislative Assembly (Assemblymen).

This was confirmed by the PKR President, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, when asked by the media about the status of the Selangor government after the formation of the new opposition coalition called Pakatan Harapan.

“The Selangor government is not affected because the Chief Minister still has the majority support from the Assemblymen.

“So, there is nothing that is destabilizing the government,” she said during a press conference at the Empire Hotel today.

Mohamed Azmin, who is also the PKR Deputy President, also attended the Round-table Meeting that lasted nearly three hours, however he left at around 11 am to attend another programme.

The function of Pakatan Harapan came into force today and is comprised of three component parties, PKR, DAP and Amanah.

The new coalition also named Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the candidate for Prime Minister if they win in the GE14.
