Two areas record the highest unhealthy API readings

SHAH ALAM, 23 Sept: Six areas once again recorded unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings since 10 am today.

According to the Department of Environment, the two highest readings were recorded in Sarawak; Samarahan (191) and Kuching (170).

Meanwhile, four other areas that recorded unhealthy API readings are Sri Aman, Sarawak (138), Tawau, Sabah (112), Bukit Rambai, Melaka (108) and Bandaraya Melaka (106).

API readings between 0 to 50 is good, 51 to 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 to 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (hazardous).

In addition, 24 other areas recorded moderate readings and 12 other areas recorded healthy readings.
