AMK: People before party

SHAH ALAM, 14 June: The leaders of DAP and PAS have been urged to prioritise the interests of the people and stop embroidering turmoil in the interest of their respective parties, said the Keadilan Youth Movement (AMK) Chief, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

Nik Nazmi said that the dispute between the two parties does not bring about good, but it betrays the trust of the people after the 13th general election (GE13).

“Pakatan Rakyat (PR) was built on the road of similarities and during the GE, it became the hope of the people to fight for issues in their interest.

“DAP and PAS have to find common ground to deal with their crisis,” he said, taken from Sinar Harian.

Nik Nazmi said that he is ready to become the mediator and is now in the effort to negotiate with the leaders of DAP and PAS to reach an agreement.

He said that the Selangor government is still running well as the two parties can work together.

“So far, in the Exco meeting, everything is good and we hope that this issue can be resolved soon,” he said.

The 61st PAS Congress approved an emergency motion to sever ties with DAP but maintain political cooperation with Pakatan on June 6.
