MPSJ offers compounds as low as RM10

SHAH ALAM, 30 Sept: The Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) is implementing the Flat Rate campaign to allow people to pay compounds as low as RM10.

The MPSJ Yang DiPertua, Datuk Nor Hisham Ahmad Dahlan, said that the campaign will last for three months, starting October 1 to December 31 this year.

“It is open to all kinds of offenses under the MPSJ Road Transport Rule 2007 on parking, except for Heavy Vehicle Prohibitions (LKB), 10 years from 2010 to 2015.

“The campaign provides an opportunity for local residents who have been issued nearly 50 compounds to solve it outside court with lower rates,” he said.

She said this during the MPSJ Financial Bill 09/2015 Committee Meeting today.

Prior to this, Nor Hisham said that 1,060,969 compounds were issued by MPSJ from January 1 to August 31, 2015.

“A total of 734,881 compound notices amounting to over RM61 million, or 69 percent of notices, were issued and are still outstanding.

“We hope with the implementation of this campaign, it will create awareness among the local residents to have a sense of responsibility before MPSJ carried out the Warrant of Arrest Ops after the end of the campaign period,” he said.
