The people want the government to focus on the issue of life and protection

SHAH ALAM, 6 Oct: The Selangor government administration remains as usual despite the volatile political atmosphere recently.

The Exco for Housing, Building Management and Urban Living, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that this is clear as stated by the Chief Minister, Mohamed Azmin Ali, for the state government to fulfil the mandate given by the people in the 13th General Election (GE13).

“I saw the Chief Minister explaining in his statement that Pakatan Harapan is only for the GE14, not now. The state government now has to go on as usual because we bear the trust that must be met in the mandate in 2013.

“The people do not want (leaders) who are engrossed in politics, but they want the drains to be clean, the roads even, they want people to help them when they buy a house, if they flat is leaking there is someone to help, when they want to paint there is someone to assist.

He added that political turmoil will not have a positive effect in the effort to provide the best services to the people of the state.

“The people would prefer if the government focuses on these things (welfare) and not quarrelling about who sits here or who sits there.

“But things that truly affect their lives. That’s what they want,” said Iskandar to Selangor Kini.
