SHAH ALAM, 8 Oct: The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak, should take up the challenge to expose who channeled the RM2.6 billion, just like what BERSIH did.
The Batu MP, Tian Chua, said that Najib failed as the Prime Minister when he did not answer everything involving 1MDB and the RM2.6 billion that he claimed was donated.
“Not only does Najib not want to reveal it, but he stopped and dismissed officers who are trying to conduct investigations into the case.
“As a leader who promised the people transparent transformation, Najib failed to do so and this has caused many people to demand for him to resign as the Prime Minister,” he told Selangor Kini.
Tian Chua said this in response to BERSIH challenging Najib to follow in the same steps as them when they dared to expose the funds received.
“Najib should stop trying to convince Malaysians that the RM2.6 billion in his personal account was a donation. The people are smart enough to assess the transparency of leaders,” he said.
Prior to that, BERSIH revealed a 2,126-page report that contained the total funds received, RM2,647,361.74, including the names of the donors.
