“We welcome NGOs to work together on this issue to provide education, awareness and knowledge for them to be strong in faith and in themselves so as to not get caught up in this immoral activity.

“In the near future, we will work with the Salimah Association to create several programmes. We will also identify troubled teens to be taken to several shelters in the state to provide them held,” he told Selangor Kini.

He said that the state government has also not yet planned to provide baby hatches.

“We do not want the people to regard it as encouraging this from happening. So, for now we are focusing on prevention programmes.

“This issue is more towards prevention, not taking action after it has happened, so we will work on it,” he said.
