Selangor PAS rejects cooperation with Perkasa

SHAH ALAM, 14 Oct: The Selangor PAS does not agree with any form of corporation with the Malay pressure group, Perkasa.

Its Commissioner, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, said that although PAS is ready to cooperate to oppose Barisan Nasional (BN), however the party rejects any party that carries racial sentiments.

He said that the Selangor PAS has also received an explanation from the Central PAS that they only received a courtesy call from Perkasa.

“Although the Selangor PAS was willing to cooperate to oppose BN with them respecting the principles and policies of PAS, but we absolutely reject those who brings about racial sentiments.

“The energy of the people regardless of race, religion and social standing, should be combined to confront corruption and abuse of power by BN,” he said in a statement.

Iskandar said that PAS will also only discuss three items; 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), the Trans-Pacific Partnership and SOSMA.

“There is no agreement for cooperation, as reported by the media.

“In this regard, I would to emphasise that the Selangor PAS does not agree with any cooperation with Perkasa,” he said.
